In summary, we are a full-service center that performs all the functions of a communications operation.

Services provided by the Operator Group are included in the DOE basic service, and are available to all our customers at no additional cost.

Operator and directory assistance service from Qwest provides you with DOE telephone subscriber listings when you call. It’s a convenient source for locating information, including new listings that may not be available in other directories.

Telephone and data line repairs are our priority. Our Operators dispatch your troubles to the first available technician – and your downtime is minimal. So call us direct if you’re experiencing any of the following problems:

If you are adding, moving, changing features, or upgrading equipment, the Service Order Group will provide the assistance you need. Beginning with a phone call, email, or fax, we help customers define the services they need, as well as products to improve or enhance their services. Our field technicians respond with the highest degree of quality and service to ensure your requirements are met.

Our Site Telecommunications Coordinators (STC) are readily available to help you plan for a new building, renovation of an existing building or office, or a simple inner-office move. We will be glad to meet with you and make recommendations to ensure you have both the inside and outside communications facilities you need for your project.

Qwest is responsible for nearly 900 miles of fiber optic and copper cable in Oak Ridge. All installations, splicing, testing, and repairs are done by our specialized RIMD/MR technicians. We also perform day-to-day relocations, installations, modifications, and disconnects to meet your schedule.
