Harassing Phone Calls & Messages

If you are the victim of a threatening, obscene, or harassing phone call, Call Trace will help you get assistance.  This is a standard feature that traces the phone number of the last caller and records the data in our Central Office.  If you wish to pursue further action, the call detail can be provided to the proper authorities designated by DOE.

How To Use Call Trace

1.      Hang up on the caller.
2.      Lift the receiver, listen for the dial tone, and press *57.
3.      You will receive an announcement if the trace was successful.
4.      If you decide to follow up on the matter, contact your Security Department or other designated contact. 
5.      Once the call is traced, the information is considered proprietary and can only be released to authorized officials.

Call "911" Immediately if the situation becomes Life-Threatening.
