USING THE AT&T FEDERAL CALLING CARD DURING TRAVEL


For customers on official travel, AT&T Federal Calling Cards are available by contacting your Division Telecommunications Coordinator or the Qwest Service Order Group direct at 576-3663. 

 

Using the toll-free Network Remote Access Number, customers benefit from AT&T's full service at reduced rates for long-distance and international calls.  NOTE:  Use of other access numbers are subject to commercial rates, and connections may not be as reliable.

 

To guarantee that you have reached the AT&T Network, ALWAYS dial according to the instructions below.

 

Accessing the AT&T Network

 

To make a call from the United States (including Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam)

 

1.      Dial the ID3 Network Remote Access number, 1 800 498-9414, wait for the prompt.

2.      Enter your 14-digit card number (the PIN is the last four digits in the 14-digit string), wait for the prompt.

3.      Enter 011 + Country Code + City Code + Local Number*.

 

NOTE: Calls to Canada and the Caribbean require only Area Code and 7-digit Number.

 

 

To make a call from overseas where AT&TDirect Service is available 

(Refer to the wallet card distributed with your calling card)

 

1.      Dial the AT&TDirect Access Number shown on the wallet card for the country you are in.

2.      Dial the ID3 Network Remote Access number, 1 800 498-9414 and wait for the prompt.

3.      Enter your 14-digit card number and wait for the prompt.

4.      Enter the number you are calling as follows:

·         To call the U.S. enter the Area Code + the 7-digit number; or

·         To call countries other than the U.S., enter 011 + Country Code + City Code + Local Number.

 

 

To call from overseas locations where AT&TDirect Service is not available*

 

1.      Dial the in-country operator to reach the in-country operator.

2.      Tell the operator that you are placing a calling card call with an AT&T card to (name the destination).

3.      Provide the in-country operator your 19-digit "International Number" (the number includes the Auth Code) printed on the bottom front of your card. Provide the local number you wish to reach.

To make another call after a busy, no answer, or your present call has terminated before hanging up, use the "#" sign to indicate to AT&T that you want to make another call. If you require a forced disconnect (i.e., terminating a call completed to an answering machine), press "**9". Using "**9" will disconnect the call in progress and prompt you for the next number you are calling. Sequence dialing is available only in the U.S. and from overseas via AT&TDirect.*

 

NOTE: *For questions about AT&TDirect Service, call 1 800 331-1140. When outside the U.S., dial the AT&TDirect access number for the country you are in and wait for the operator. Ask the operator to connect you with AT&TDirect Customer Service.

 

 

Speed Dialing Via Auto-Dialers

 


The 14-digit card number and the destination number can be programmed in a single string separated by a "#" with a final "#" following the destination number. If you do not include the "#", you must program a five second delay to replace each "#" in the dial string as specified above.

 

 

International Customer Care Center

 


For customer service, contact the International Customer Care Center (IC3). Dial 1 888 4ID3 ATT (1 888 443-3288). Lost and stolen cards should be reported to the IC3 immediately.
